Georgetown Utility Systems provides electric systems, water services, transportation services and systems engineering services for capital improvement projects to the city of Georgetown. The electric systems distribute power to Georgetown Utility Systems' homes and businesses with a service territory that covers 4.71 square miles, approximately 176 miles of overhead and 87 miles of underground electric lines. They service an estimated population of 28,328 with 14,969 electric meters, 4,834 distribution transformers and five substations.
